Hyundai Driver Assistance Technology Hyundai Elantra airbags

All the latest Hyundai cars and SUVs are equipped with smart driver assistance technology to help you avoid accidents and make your drive easier. These provide all-around awareness during your drive.

Starting up front, you’ll be able to maintain a safe distance from the car in front of you with Smart Cruise Control with stop/start. It can adjust your speed or stop your car if traffic gets heavy.

They can also bring you to a complete stop when you haven’t engaged cruise control. Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection senses an incoming object and applies the brakes to avoid a collision.

You’ll also have the option to see more up front with Dynamic Bending Light. This feature is available in most Hyundai models and allows you to see around curves at night by turning your headlights as you turn the wheel.

Along your sides, Blind Spot Detection and Lane Change Assist work together to let you know when it’s safe to change lanes, while the Lane Departure Warning lets you know if you’ve begun to drift out of your lane.

The new Hyundai models have your back covered, too. The Rearview Camera with Dynamic Guidelines lets you see a live picture on your dashboard of what’s directly behind you and what path you’re on.

Sensors in the corners of your bumper makes parking and backing up easier, too. The rear parking sensors give you audible alerts as you get closer to objects and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert acts as radar to alert you of any approaching cars before your camera can see them.

Active Safety Hyundai Accent airbags deployed

While the driver assistance features help you avoid an accident, there’s a whole system of active safety features working to give you control over your drive.

All Hyundai cars and SUVs are equipped with the Traction Control System and Electronic Stability Control to make sure you have a safe and stable ride.

To help you stop effectively, there’s advanced braking that includes an Anti-lock Braking System, Brake Assist, and Electronic Brake-force Distribution.

Passive Hyundai Safety Features

The active safety features and driver assistance technologies are designed to help you avoid accidents, but the = Hyundai models are equally prepared to protect you if an accident occurs.

Your Hyundai is designed to absorb impacts better with front and rear crumple zones and an energy-absorbing steering column.

Inside, you’ll have all-around protection with a smart airbag system. Up front, there’s advanced dual front airbags with the Occupant Classification System, driver and front passenger side-impact airbags, and a driver’s knee airbag. The entire interior is also covered by side-curtain airbags.

You can also feel confident that everyone will be strapped in securely with front seatbelt pretensioners and force limiters and rear Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children.
