2018 Hyundai Ioniq: Top Safety Marks 

The Hyundai Ioniq’s safety-oriented attitude has been confirmed by some of the top institutions in the world. Keep reading to see the most recent breakdown.

According to the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (frequently referred to as the IIHS), the hybrid in question received a score of “Good” on all its tests: Moderate Overlap Front Test, Side Impact Test, Rear Crash Protection, Roof Strength Test, and Small Overlap Front Test. “Good” is the highest rating.

Perhaps that’s why U.S. News & World Report awarded the 2018 Ioniq a 10.0 on their Safety Scorecard.

Finally, at the time of writing, the 2018 Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid hasn’t been evaluated by the NHTSA (the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration). However, we have absolutely no doubt that the Feds would give it some of the very top scores. In fact, they report 0 investigations into the 2017 model.
