With its standard powertrain under the hood, the Sonata can get up to an EPA-estimated 28 city/38 highway MPG.[1] Expect more gas station stops in the Optima since its base motor only achieves an EPA-estimated 25 city/35 highway MPG.

The Optima doesn’t quite measure up with only an 8-inch screen available.
