Driver-Assist Technology In The 2020 Sonata
We expect the 2020 Hyundai Sonata to be highly modern, which means it’s sure to bring plenty of high-tech features. This includes its driver-assist technologies, such as:
- Blind View Monitor
- Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist
- Front and rear parking assist sensors
- Reverse Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist
- Safe Exit Assist
New features this year include:
- Highway Driving Assist
- Remote Smart Parking Assist
Highway Driving Assist can help you stay centered on the highway by using gentle, automatic steering assists to help you stay in your intended lane of travel. It also includes a Lane Follow Assist and Smart Cruise Control feature. These features work together to adjust your cruise control speed to maintain a safe following distance when you approach slower-moving traffic on the highway.
Remote Smart Parking Assist is another feature that’ll be unveiled with the 2020 Hyundai Sonata. This smart and innovative system helps automatically park the car, even if you’re not inside it. Your Sonata can also retrieve itself for you when you’re ready to go.
Infotainment System For The 2020 Hyundai Sonata
When you’re behind the wheel of the Sonata, you’ll have many ways to stay connected. For instance, there’s Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™, which integrate your smartphone with your car, as well as Bluetooth® wireless technology.
Wireless device charging will also help keep your smartphone energized and ready to go, even if you forget your charging cable at home.
You can view important information on the 10.25-inch touchscreen and navigation system in the center stack, or you can see it directly in front of you with the Heads-up Display. This display projects need-to-know information on the lower portion of your windshield, so you can stay informed without moving your eyes from the road ahead.
Comfort And Convenience Features
The 2020 Sonata is expected to offer even more comfort and convenience features to its cabin. This includes the Shift-by-Wire transmission that replaces the lever shifter with an electronic push-button feature. Doing this cleans up the center console and can provide additional elbow space.
It’s also expected to include push-button start and remote keyless entry, so you can enter your vehicle and start it up without having to fish for your key in your purse or pocket.
We’re especially excited about the ventilated and heated front seats that can help you quickly cool down on a hot summer afternoon or warm up during a snowy winter morning commute.
If you need to load up for a weekend away, you can do so with ease with the hands-free smart trunk release. This automatically opens the trunk for you with a simple wave of your foot under the rear bumper. This way, you don’t have to put down what you’re holding to pop the trunk.
