In addition, the Hyundai Sonata comes standard with Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ compatibility. This lets you connect your smartphone to the vehicle to access your music playlists, podcasts, navigation, and more.
The Honda Accord has this feature, too, but you have to upgrade to a higher trim level to get it.

Advanced Safety Options  2018 Sonata red

Both vehicles are considered very safe, as they each earned a 2018 TOP SAFETY PICK rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.

They also both offer lots of driver-assisting technologies to help prevent an accident from occurring. One such feature is Lane Keep Assist. If you begin to unintentionally drift from your lane, the system can apply corrective steering to get you back into your lane’s center.
The Sonata also comes standard with Blind Spot Detection with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert. It’ll send a visual and audible warning if a vehicle is either detected in your blind spot or approaching your car from the side when in reverse.
The Accord has Blind Spot Monitoring, as well, but it doesn’t come standard.
