You can even choose between different driving modes. The Chevy Traverse has up to four modes, while the Hyundai Palisade has five.

Starting out with seating, both models have room for eight passengers to comfortably ride along. With automatic climate control systems, both the Palisade and the Traverse can provide all the comfort you need year-round. In fact, both models offer available heated front- and second-row outboard seats.

However, only the Palisade can be equipped with heated third-row seats. When it comes to ventilated seats, you’ll also find that only the Palisade offers it to second-row passengers.

You’ll also find the latest technology up front and center in these SUVs. This is another area where the Palisade takes the cake with its 12.3-inch touchscreen and available Harman Kardon® premium audio with 12 speakers.

While the Traverse has decent technology, its largest touchscreen is just eight inches, while the audio system maxes out at 10 speakers. You can certainly get by with these features, but it may be easier with the Palisade.

Fortunately, both the Palisade and the Traverse come equipped with high-tech driver-assistance features, such as:

• Automatic Emergency Braking

However, the Palisade comes standard with features like Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist and Reverse Parking Distance Warning, while the Traverse only offers these as an available upgrade. Then, with the standard Driver Attention Warning of the Palisade, it’s clear which model puts your safety first.

The Hyundai Palisade even comes standard with Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go and Curve Control. This navigation system comes standard across all trims and even includes information about the traffic flow.

Unfortunately, the Chevy Traverse does not come standard with navigation. In fact, you can’t even upgrade the first two trims to have it, as it’s not available at all for those trims.
