2021 Hyundai Venue Review

The Hyundai Venue is an impressively unique crossover SUV. It's value-minded from top to bottom, but even as what one might call Hyundai's "entry-level" crossover, it's still absolutely packed with features, has plenty of space for several adult passengers, and has a good bit of cargo space.
In short, it's a capable daily driver that feels far more expensive than its sticker price might indicate. Check out this 2021 Hyundai Venue review from Andy Mohr Hyundai before heading out on the roads of Ellettsville, Martinsville, and Bloomington, IN.
2021 Hyundai Venue Overview

This year, the Venue gets just a few minor changes to features and options availability. The largest change is that the manual transmission formerly available has been discontinued; only automatic versions with a CVT are available now, which provides great efficiency and smooth acceleration. It seats up to five people with reasonable comfort and can offer up to 31.9 cubic feet of space for cargo.
It comes in three different trim levels: the SE, the SEL, and the upscale Denim trim. Between the SEL and Denim, you can add a Premium package with additional features. Regardless of the trim level you choose, you get an inline-four engine that delivers 121 horsepower and is front-wheel drive.
Features and Technology

Even at the base level, the Venue packs a range of features into the cabin. These include the Hyundai infotainment system with a big 8-inch touchscreen and full integration for smart devices. Upgrades at the SEL level include six speakers for the sound system with USB ports and automatic climate control, as well as special driving modes for normal, sport, and snow. The Premium package nets you heated mirrors and seats, keyless entry and ignition, GPS navigation, and the Hyundai Blue Link system that gives you smartphone control over your vehicle.
Active Intelligent Safety Features

Once again, even at the entry level, you get intelligent safety tech like emergency brakes for crash mitigation and lane-keeping assistance. At the SEL level, you add blind-spot monitoring with cross-traffic alerts to keep an eye out for dangers on the road that you might not normally see. These features act in a very real way like you've got a co-pilot whose sole responsibility is looking out for your safety.
Driving Experience

The Venue offers a fun and comfortable driving experience whether you're running errands, headed to work, or just taking a drive. It offers reasonable acceleration for a vehicle in its class and has plenty of pickup with authoritative braking. The suspension does a good job of smoothing out bumps and jars, so the ride is steady. The seats are supportive, and the cabin is adequately sealed to mitigate road noise. The buttons, knobs, and touchscreen are all well placed and easy to reach and use.
