2019 Hyundai Santa Fe Powertrain 
The 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe offers three distinct options for what powers it under the hood. The first choice is a 2.4L 4-cylinder Theta II GDI engine that gets up to 185 horsepower and 178 lb-ft of torque.
For more power and an exciting, sporty drive, the next choice is a 2.0L 4-cylinder Theta II GDI Turbo engine that’s capable of producing 235 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque.
The final engine offers a unique blend of design and styles in an SUV. It’s a 2.2L CRDi Turbodiesel engine that can get up to 190 horsepower and an impressive 322 lb-ft of torque.
The transmission that works with these engines gets upgraded from previous models with more available gears. The standard 8-speed automatic transmission was designed for faster and more fuel-efficient shifting.
You’ll also get excellent traction from the Hyundai HTRAC® All-Wheel Drive system. It’s designed to give you better torque distribution, and you can adjust it based on road conditions between Normal, Sport, and Smart modes.
